Education & Training For Cleaning Professionals

At the beginning of this course, I was a little dubious as to whether it was suitable for me as I thought I was aiming a little too high having had no formal qualification training for a number of years with the majority being in-house.
I have to say I was at ease at all times since the commencement of the programme and thanks go to Steve for making the learning journey not only informative, but fun. I thought Steve mixed his excellent tuition with wit and humour which always puts people at ease and makes the Thursday evenings more of a pleasure than a back to school vibe.
I never felt under pressure during the programme and support was always there if needed. To submit assignments and get feedback as quickly as I did made me look to want to complete further assignments and also the course.

The course has allowed me to have my own pace in completing and submitting work. Jo has been available and has been supportive throughout. It has helped that my position allows me to deliver IAG constantly throughout the working week and has allowed me time to reflect on my own practice

Thank you for the opportunity to undertake this course. I have learned a great deal throughout the programme and feel it has supported my development both professionally and personally. Prior to starting the course, I was not always aware of the different leadership skills and behaviours I was demonstrating in my role. The course provided valuable opportunities for reflection and helped me gain a better understanding of my strengths as a manager, which has increased my confidence and reassured me that I am moving in the right direction developmentally.
I particularly valued the opportunity to gather feedback from colleagues. Without this course, I do not think I would have formally sought feedback in this way, especially through structured surveys and reflective activities. The process helped me gain a greater understanding of how others perceive my management style and highlighted areas for further development.
One of the most beneficial aspects of the programme was learning about coaching and mentoring. As a relatively new Curriculum Manager, I have already started applying some of these approaches when supporting tutors and colleagues. This is an area I would like to continue developing as I gain more managerial experience.
Overall, each unit encouraged me to reflect on my practice in a way that I would not normally have done. The assignments challenged me to analyse my role, behaviours, skills, and decision-making processes, providing valuable opportunities for self-evaluation and continuous improvement. I believe the knowledge and skills gained through this course will continue to support my development as a manager in the future

We have been fortunate to work in partnership with EETD for a number of years. They have provided us with service excellence, which has excelled year on year. Making a positive contribution to our staff development, succession planning and the service we offer in Social Housing. Providing innovative, engaging training solutions that meet the needs of our service.

I thought that I knew how to clean but I was doing a lot of things wrong. The Tutor was fantastic and clearly had my and my colleague’s health and wellbeing at the heart of the training. I really was not expecting this from a training course – I’ve asked if I can do the next stage.

We worked with EETD initially several years ago. The training and service was excellent and so we return to them regularly to support the development of our staff. That excellence has continued.
Not many trainers will be on site at 5.30 on a winters morning to set up, ready for their candidates.
The trainers build relationships with the staff and are always keen to participate in the training EETD delivers. Long may the relationship continue with Aston University and EETD.

Everyone within Environmental Excellence, have been extremely responsive, helpful, and friendly. Their wealth of knowledge combined with their ability to tailor training workshops to our diverse workforce requirements have been greatly received by all the Trusts Cleanliness Technicians. The Trainers provide both practical and theoretical resource to engage candidates throughout their ‘learning journey’ supported by excellent demonstrations that encourage ‘Best Practice’ for staff working within healthcare environments.
